01 Overview
This document explains exactly what data DjBilli collects, why, and what you can do about it.
By adding DjBilli to your server or interacting with it, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about the data we handle. We do not sell personal data to third parties — ever.
02 Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the bot effectively. This includes:
- Discord User IDs — to keep the stats accurate and also for managing different systems in the bot
- Server (Guild) IDs — to store settings of each server seperately
- Command usage logs — only for identifying bugs and errors in the bot
- Moderation records — warns, mutes, bans logged per server to keep track in commands
We do not read general message history. DjBilli only processes messages that explicitly invoke a command.
03 How We Use Data
The data we collect is used exclusively to:
- Improve DjBilli's features and develop new features effectively
- Store your server's configuration so settings are saved even if the bot restarts
- Maintain moderation logs so that any adminstrator can view and moderate any issues
- Monitoring uptime and reliability
- Detect and prevent abuse of the DjBilli's Server
We do not use your data for any other purpose than running the bot.
05 Data Retention
We retain data only if it necessary:
- Server settings data are only kept till the bot is in the server, then they are deleted
- Music queue data is never persisted to disk — it lives only in memory
You can request full deletion of all data associated with your server or user ID at any time.
06 Security
We take security seriously and implement industry-standard measures:
- All data in our mongodb are encrypted and only viewable by putting it in a special password
- Access to bot is only permissable by the bot owner i.e. Pragati
If you discover any flaw or issue, pls contact the bot owner asap.
07 Policy Changes
This Policy is subject to change:
- Announce significant changes in our official support server
- Whenever required by Discord, we will change the policy
Continued use of DjBilli after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
